Take Home Storytime: Dinosaurs

Miss storytime? You can practice many of the early literacy concepts we use in storytime at home! Don't forget to sign up for text alerts so you can make it to the next storytime!

Theme: Dinosaurs

Use the five early literacy practices; talking, singing, reading, playing, and writing with these books and projects!

TALK about dinosaurs. What do you think they ate? What did they look like? If you had a dinosaur today, what would you do with it?

Get ready to WRITE by making your crafts, developing fine motor skills needed for writing.

SING We are the dinosaurs with Laurie Berkner. Don't forget to march along with the song!

PLAY with your dinosaurs! Use the cupcake liners and pipe cleaners to create spiked and frilled dinosaurs. Decorate with the markers.

READ some of these stories about dinosaurs (find more dinosaur stories in the ANIMALS/DINOSAURS neighborhood)
